Level 1, Module 5 Sample Activities
In this module, students examine personal water use and continue their investigation of linear equations. Students use their collected data to explore volume, rate of change, slope, linear modeling, and residuals. Activity 1: Students calculate volumes of prisms with polygonal bases and estimate volumes of solids with irregular bases. Activity 2: Students calculate rate of flow,write linear equations as mathematical models, and interpret slope as a rate. Activity 3: Students examine residuals and use them to evaluate the fit of a linear model. Students then use their models to make predictions. Download the Sample activities
